I caught some of this last week and found it entertaining. But what I really wanted to comment on is the poster with retro-style phrasing like an old vaudeville playbill. I really love this style. I am magnetically drawn to it whenever I see it and I need to read the sign through, whatever it is. I can't understand why advertisers haven't latched on to this, and why we don't see this style more in magazines, etc. It's the phrasing in conjunction with turn-of-the-century typeface which really gets me. I will buy whatever they're selling.

you'll buy whatever they're selling? By all means, prints are available, buddy.

credit for the layout & language goes to Shepp's Photographs of the World, ©1891. I've used it for various purposes for a few years now and never get tired of it. I've got the book here at home. Remind me to pull it out next time you're here.

Never mind the print. How much for a 10 second mpeg excerpt?
